Adopted from Haiti at the age of two, Shnaida grew up as the oldest of nine
children in a family dedicated to love and service.

Her mother, honored multiple times as Foster Mother of the Year, provided
safe, nurturing homes for over 60 foster children. Inspired by this
extraordinary commitment to children, Shnaida witnessed firsthand the
transformative power of compassion and the profound impact of creating
opportunities for others.

A proud advocate for equity and opportunity, Shnaida’s journey from her roots
in Haiti to the heart of global philanthropy has shaped her passion for
creating sustainable change.

Drawing from her unique upbringing and experiences, Shnaida founded Petals
of Progress Foundation — Global Bloom Initiative, an organization dedicated
to breaking cycles of poverty and empowering communities around the
world.

Through initiatives focused on education, healthcare, and sustainable
development, Shnaida channels her passion for building a better world into
every project the foundation undertakes.
